Guy Branston scored his first goal in Peterborough United colours since penning a contract at London Road and the centre back was delighted to contribute to a cup giant-killing.

The defender rose to power a header past Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price to put Posh ahead in extra-time only for the Tractor Boys to level before Keith Alexander's men progressed on penalties.
'I was making decoy runs for Oldham last season, but the manager wants me to be the target at set-pieces and that is nice. I have had a few chances and the gaffer has been on at me because I have missed them, so it was nice to put one away.
'It is great when you have a player who can deliver a set-piece like Dean Holden did and all of the deliveries into the box from wide areas has been first class. It was great to score because my mum and her other half was in the crowd and that is where I ran over to when I celebrated.

'It has been brilliant so far because the team spirit is so great, obviously winning matches breeds confidence. I can't wait for the season to pan out as I expect it to. I hold my hands up for the equaliser, I thought the ball was going out of play and I should have done better. I managed to get back into position, but the lad is very powerful and he wins a lot of headers. We got back and I thought we deserved the win.
'I said to the lads before the game that there is a lot of our players that believe they should be playing in the Championship and it was time we proved it. I think a lot of lads did that,' Branston told

Branston also revealed he was sixth in line to take a penalty, but was relieved that the previous spot-kick takers all found the back of the net.
