Posh Ready For Final Pre-Season Friendly

Posted on: Fri 28 Jul 2006

Rushden & DiamondsPeterborough United play their final pre-season friendly ahead of the League Two campaign against Nationwide Conference side Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday at Nene Park (3pm).

Keith Alexander's men will face the Diamonds who were relegated from Coca-Cola League Two last term. The Posh boss is again without the services of midfield duo Peter Gain and Paul Carden, but Mark Arber is in contention for a place after missing the 3-2 defeat at King's Lynn due to bruised ribs.

Adam Newton (achilles) remains a doubt, but should be fit for the first game of the season against Bristol Rovers at London Road on Saturday 5th August (3pm).

Admission for the clash at Nene Park is £10 for adults, £8 for students/senior citizens and £3 for under 16s. The game is no longer all-ticket and Posh fans can gain admission (cash only) at the turnstiles.
