Noel CantwellFootball League chairman Lord Mawhinney will officially open the Noel Cantwell Suite in the South Stand ahead of Saturday's meeting with Boston United.

Mawhinney will be joined by Maggie Cantwell and members of the 1974 Division Four promotion-winning team for the opening at 2pm. Cantwell led Posh to promotion in that season and 10 of the squad will be introduced to the crowd ahead of kick-off.

Tommy Robson, Jack Carmichael, Jim Hall, Freddie Hill, Jeff Lee, Mick Jones, Chris Turner, John Duncliffe and Mick Drewery will all be present at London Road.

In 1974, 17,569 fans piled in to London Road to watch Posh clinch the Division Four Championship with a 4-2 win over Gillingham as Cantwell (pictured) led the city side to glory.

Cantwell died on September 8, aged 72. More than 1,500 people attended the cathedral service, including star names from the world of football, including Sir Bobby Charlton, Martin Peters, Denis Law and Paddy Crerand.
