Injury Worries Ahead Of Shakers Clash

Posted on: Fri 07 Apr 2006

James QuinnPeterborough United boss Steve Bleasdale has injury worries to contend with ahead of the clash at Bury on Saturday (3pm) with several players already ruled out of the trip to Gigg Lane.

Captain Dean Holden has definitely been ruled out with a hamstring injury and the defender is also receiving treatment for a foot injury. Striker Richard Logan is targeting a return to action for the clash with his former club Boston United next weekend as he recovers from a hamstring strain.

Northern Ireland international James Quinn (pictured) and young winger Jamie Day remain doubts for the trip while Dave Farrell was receiving treatment on a slight calf injury at London Road on Thursday. Chris Plummer won't be considered for the game.

Bleasdale told theposh.com: 'We are struggling with injuries at the moment and we don't have a big squad, so we have to cope with what we have. Bury will be a very difficult game, it will be a battle and my players need to stand up and be counted.'
