Peterborough United Football Club have appointed a Community Officer with Luke Weston (pictured) taking on the new role.

Weston, who holds a UEFA 'B' Coaching badge will be providing coaching sessions within schools across the Peterborough area and arranging player visits, ground tours, ticket give-aways, match day promotions and soccer skills sessions.

Weston told theposh.com: 'I feel this is a great opportunity for all involved and I am looking forward to starting my new role helping the community to be part of Peterborough United Football Club.'

The new Community officer spoke at the Disabled conference for the Deaf and Blind UK to help promote sport on Friday and was accompanied by Peter Kennedy and Adam Fry.

The Posh pair signed autographs and handed out free Posh programmes at the event. The club gave away a signed football in a competition as well as goodie bags including pens and keyrings. 'The event went really well and the children really enjoyed the visit by the Posh players,' Weston added.
