Davies Gutted After Injury Setback

Posted on: Mon 06 Sep 2010

Arron Davies suffered a hamstring injury in Peterborough United's 1-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers and could be out for up to three weeks.

The winger, who signed in the summer, is frustrated with the setback, but is hopeful he won't have to spend too much time in the treatment room.

'I am very frustrated. I had to come off very early in the game and it is just a case of waiting for the full diagnoses, but hopefully it will be good news.

'It has got better over the last two days so that is good news. I remember how I did it, I was closing down the full-back and I just had a sharp pain, like an electric shock, in the back of my leg. I tried to run it off, but the physiotherapist came on and I had to go off.

'I was disappointed because I was looking forward to the game and I had made a couple of positive moves and was enjoying the match, but I then had a shot in the back of the leg and that was the end of that.

'The best way to describe it is an electric shock, it isn't as bad as they thought at the time, but I couldn't walk on it on Saturday night,' Davies said.
