Zakuani Plays An Hour In Friendly Draw

Posted on: Wed 25 Aug 2010

Peterborough United defender Gabriel Zakuani played an hour in a behind closed doors friendly at London Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The centre back, who has been on the sidelines with a groin injury, put in an excellent performance against a strong Stevenage side.

Dave Hibbert, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Charlie Lee, Carl Piergianni and Lee Tomlin were also involved in the fixture with Tomlin scoring twice, including a superb free-kick.

Youngster Matthew Cook scored the pick of the goals, curling a fantastic effort past the goalkeeper. The game finished 3-3.
