Whelpdale To Make Comeback At Histon

Posted on: Wed 28 Jul 2010

Winger Chris Whelpdale will make his comeback from injury this evening as Peterborough United make the short trip to the Glassworld Stadium to face Histon (7.45pm).

The former Billericay midfielder has had a stop-start pre-season to date and will get much needed match fitness under his belt against the non-leaguers.

Goalkeeper Steve Collis, who remains on trial, is likely to be in between the sticks, while young defender Carl Piergianni will also be involved.

Young winger Nathan Koranteng, who was an unused substitute in the defeat to Leicester City, could also feature after recovering from an arm injury.

Josh Simpson, Scott Griffiths, Exodus Geohaghon, Dominic Green, Rene Howe and Ben Wright have also been named in the squad.

Admission is set at £5 for adults and £1 for concessions.
