Posh Start Against Pirates

Peterborough United will open their npower League One campaign with a home fixture against Bristol Rovers on Saturday 7th August at London Road.

Posh met the Pirates on the opening day of the 2006-2007 season and chalked up a 4-1 victory with a stunning strike from Jamie Day setting Keith Alexander's men on their way to a comprehensive win.

The first away game for Gary Johnson's men is a trip to newcomers AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 14th August before entertaining big spending Huddersfield Town on Saturday 21st August.

Posh are at home to Colchester United on Boxing Day, while Johnson's men face a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Day.

Posh conclude their campaign at home to Dagenham and Redbridge at London Road on Saturday 7th May. The matches against Milton Keynes Dons are on Saturday 25th September (h) and Saturday 19th March (a).

The three longest trips, Carlisle United, Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle, are all scheduled for Saturdays.
