Fry Happy With Home Draw

Posted on: Wed 16 Jun 2010

Peterborough United will face npower League Two side Rotherham United at London Road in the first round of the Carling Cup after the draw was made on Wednesday morning.

Director of Football Barry Fry admitted the club were 'happy' with a home draw, but believes Ronnie Moore's men will provide stern opposite for Gary Johnson's new-look side.

'It is always nice have a home draw, but Rotherham will be tough opposition. They reached the play-off final last season and are difficult to beat.

'I know Ronnie Moore well and he has his teams well organised, but I am sure the manager will be looking forward to the game.

'It will also be good to welcome back our former Goalkeeping Coach Andy Dibble, who holds the same position at Rotherham,' Fry said.

The tie will be played in the first week of the season at London Road. Ticket details will be released shortly.
