Posh v Bristol City: The Match Preview

Posted on: Fri 26 Mar 2010

Peterborough United entertain Bristol City at London Road in the Coca-Cola Championship on Saturday afternoon (3pm) and Jim Gannon's men will be looking to bounce back from the disappointing defeat to Scunthorpe United.

Bristol City have drawn one and won one since the departure of manager Gary Johnson with the success coming against Barnsley at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night.

TEAM NEWS

Posh are without the services of defender Mark Little (hamstring), Ryan Bennett (ankle), Craig Morgan (ankle), Aaron Mclean (knee) and Liam Dickinson (hamstring).

Jamie McCallister (calf) and Lewis Nyatanga (Achilles) are both out, but Gary Sawyer, who made the move from Plymouth Argyle ahead of the transfer deadline, has been added to the squad.

MANAGER QUOTES

'Bristol City have had a bit of a resurgence since the departure of their manager and that sometimes happens. They won 5-3 on Tuesday night and that obviously shows they score goals, but they also concede them as well. We have a lot of injury problems, but I just want the lads to go out there and restore a bit of pride following the defeat this week at Scunthorpe,' Gannon said.

BETTING

Posh are 17/10 to beat Bristol City, while if you fancy a flutter on the first goal-scorer, how about Lee Frecklington at 14/1? Visit www.theposhbet.com to place your bets!
