Peterborough United go in search of their second away win of the campaign on Tuesday night as Jim Gannon takes his team to Glanford Park to face Scunthorpe United (7.45pm).
After an unfortunate defeat to promotion-chasers Nottingham Forest at the weekend, when a goal from Robert Earnshaw earned Billy Davies' side a hard-fought 1-0 victory, Gannon will be looking for his team to repeat the performance but take their chances in front of goal.
Scunthorpe recorded a vitally important 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Plymouth Argyle and know that three points will give themselves a great chance of avoiding the drop.
TEAM NEWS
Posh have been dealt a blow with the news that Aaron Mclean may miss the rest of the campaign after a scan revealed a tear in his knee cartilage. Craig Morgan (ankle) faces up to three weeks on the sidelines, Ryan Bennett is at least 10 days away from a return with a similar injury, while Sergio Torres has a dead leg and is a doubt.
Lee Frecklington should return to the squad after recovering from a knee injury, but Liam Dickinson (hamstring) and Izale McLeod (knee) are both out.
Scunthorpe United will assess leading scorer Gary Hooper, who has been carrying a groin problem. Josh Wright is set to miss out again because of a badly bruised toe.
MANAGER QUOTES
'Scunthorpe had a good win at the weekend and I am sure they believe that three points against ourselves will boost their survival hopes, but we put in a good display at the weekend and were unlucky to come away with nothing. However, we need to take our chances when they come our away and defend better,' Gannon said.
