Peterborough United enter a new era with a home fixture against Queens Park Rangers in the Coca-Cola Championship at London Road on Saturday (3pm).

Jim Gannon takes charge of his first game as Posh boss with the R's providing the opposition and Gannon has a full squad to choose from.

TEAM NEWS

Posh welcome back Craig Morgan from suspension for the clash with QPR, but there are doubts over the fitness of Tom Williams and Gabriel Zakuani.

Zakuani is very close to fitness and could face Colchester United in a reserve team fixture on Wednesday afternoon at London Road (2pm).

QPR are desperate for the points themselves and have strengthened their squad with the signings of strikers Marcus Bent and Tamas Priskin who are both set to go into the squad for the clash with Posh.

ONE TO WATCH

Tamas Priskin is a player that has impressed Jim Gannon. Gannon said: 'Tamas has good movement, he is intelligent, gets into some good positions and can finish, so it is a good signing for QPR.'

MANAGER QUOTES

'I think everyone is looking forward to the game, it is a match that we are looking to win, but we need to be aware of the situation. I have looked at the statistics and Posh have conceded a lot of goals in the first half, particularly towards the end of the first 45 minutes, so we need to make sure that we are still in game,' Gannon said.

MATCH DAY MAGAZINE

The Posh match day magazine, priced at £3, features the exclusive notes from new boss Jim Gannon. The well-worded piece is exclusive to the magazine.
