Preston North End have completed the signing of midfielder Paul Coutts on a three and a half year contract from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

Coutts travelled to Deepdale to meet his new team-mates on Tuesday and signed on the dotted line for the Lilywhites.

Coutts told Preston's official website: 'I am absolutely delighted to be here, yesterday I thought it wasn't going to happen and then right at the last minute it came off so I am delighted to be here.

"I really enjoyed my time under Darren at Peterborough so when I heard he was interested in me I was delighted and when it came off yesterday I was absolutely buzzing.'
