Peterborough United are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jake Livermore from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.

Livermore, who spent a loan stint at Derby County earlier in the campaign, scored a goal against Barcelona at Wembley in a pre-season tournament for Spurs.

The 20-year-old will meet his new team-mates on Saturday and is on the plane to Tenerife for the training camp. The move is subject to Football League clearance.

'Jake will give us a bit more bite in midfield, which will certainly give us another option. He is a box to box midfielder and we are delighted to have him on board,' manager Mark Cooper said.

Livermore will wear the number 36 shirt at London Road.
