Posh Sign Red Devils Keeper

Posted on: Thu 29 Oct 2009

Peterborough United have swooped to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos on a one-month loan deal (subject to Football League clearance).

Manager Darren Ferguson will be without first choice keeper Joe Lewis for Saturday's clash against Barnsley at London Road after the shot-stopper was sent-off in the Carling Cup 4th Round tie at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.

Amos, who made his Manchester United debut in a Carling Cup match against Middlesbrough in 2008, is highly rated at Old Trafford and has been capped by England at youth level. He is expected to start Saturday's match against Barnsley.
