In-form Scunthorpe United are the visitors to London Road on Saturday with the Iron arriving on the back of two impressive Coca-Cola Championship victories.
Nigel Adkins' men overcame Sheffield United and Newcastle United in their last two fixtures at Glanford Park and will be looking to build on those results on the road.
Posh have recorded just one win in 13 Championship matches to date, but aside from the disappointing 3-1 reverse at Doncaster Rovers, the performances have been good.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are expected to be without Tom Williams (ankle) for the clash with the Iron, while midfielder Paul Coutts is still at least a week away from returning. New signing Ryan Bennett will be in the squad, but is not expected to start.
Gary Hooper will undergo a late fitness test on a foot injury ahead of the match while Ben May is still out. Josh Wright should recover from a knock to start.
MANAGER QUOTES
'Scunthorpe have had two excellent results this week and will no doubt arrive full of confidence, but we are still in a positive frame of mind. The players know that they can't repeat the display at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night and I am confident that won't happen again. Scunthorpe are a well-orgnaised side and in Paul Hayes and Gary Hooper they have two very good strikers,' Ferguson said.
'We know all about Peterborough, they came from the same division which we have and we need to approach this game in the same manner we have for the last two.We need to take points down there because you'd think they'd be in and around us as part of our mini-league come the end of the season. So it's important that we go there and play as well we have in the last two games. If you look at the long-term goal all our players know what we want to achieve and this is another game along the way,' Iron boss Andy Crosby said.
