Peterborough United face Blue Square Premier League side Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday and manager Darren Ferguson is expected to give most of his squad a run-out against Chris Wilder's men as preparations continue for the new campaign.

With just Oxford and Sunderland remaining in the pre-season calendar, Ferguson will be hoping for a positive performance with the season getting underway at Derby County in seven days. Midfielder Dean Keates could return from injury to get some much needed match fitness under his belt after missing the last four friendlies due to an Achilles injury.

Striker Craig Mackail-Smith could return after injury, but is more likely to start against Sunderland on Tuesday night at London Road, if he comes through the training sessions before then unscathed. Craig Morgan remains a slight doubt for the Oxford clash due to a slight ankle injury.

Oxford are sweating on the fitness of winger Damien Batt, so the confrontation with his brother Shaun is unlikely to occur. Alfie Potter has been ruled out after twisting his ankle in last weeks draw with Brackley Town.

Under 16s accompanied by a paying adult can watch the game for just £1. Adults are just £10, with over 65s and under 16s not accompanied by an adult £5.
