Members of the Peterborough United squad have been out and about in the local community at various events for local sponsors ahead of the new Coca-Cola Championship campaign.

Winger Chris Whelpdale was invited to Netherton Football Club to officially open their new clubhouse at the Grange and present trophies to youngsters at their end of season awards evening. Whelpdale also spent time posing for pictures and signing autographs during the evening.

George Boyd's away kit is sponsored by Crowland Juniors Football Club and the winger spent time with the under 14s, 15s and 18s at a recent training session in the town, giving players tips and picking out his star man from the 90-minute work-out.

A day later, striker Craig Mackail-Smith and Whelpdale spent time with the under 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s and 12s from Crowland Juniors and the pair were also asked to nominate their star man from the training session.
