Blackett Joins Luton Town

Posted on: Wed 22 Jul 2009

Peterborough United defender Shane Blackett has completed a move to ambitious Blue Square Premier League side Luton Town after his contract at London Road was cancelled by mutual consent on Tuesday afternoon.

Blackett has penned a two-year contract with the Hatters and joins a number of other former Posh players at the club. Mark Tyler, Adam Newton, Alan White, Claude Gnakpa and Liam Hatch are already at the Hatters and it will be an easy settling in period for the former Dagenham and Redbridge man.

Blackett was born in Luton so the move will be an ideal one for all parties. A Posh XI will take on Luton on Saturday. We would like to thank Shane for his efforts for Peterborough United and wish him well for the future.
