Zak Hopeful Over Groin Injury

Posted on: Mon 06 Apr 2009

Peterborough United defender Gabriel Zakuani is hopeful he will be fit for Good Friday's Coca-Cola League One fixture with Cheltenham Town after suffering a slight groin strain during the win over Oldham Athletic.

Zakuani was at London Road for treatment from physiotherapist Keith Oakes on Monday morning, but both are confident the former Fulham man will be back to full fitness for the clash with the Robins.

Meanwhile, midfielder Lee Frecklington and defender Craig Morgan are still sidelined, but the pair are responding to treatment well and could make a return in the near future.

Tom Williams will miss the rest of the season after suffering a medial knee ligament injury. Williams sustained the injury during the second half at Boundary Park and was replaced by Shane Blackett.
