Peterborough United will be looking to keep up the pressure on Leicester City and Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday as Yeovil Town visit London Road for a Coca-Cola League One fixture (3pm).
After the midweek 4-2 victory at Brighton and Hove Albion, Darren Ferguson's men will be looking to keep up the momentum when they entertain Russell Slade's side, who themselves have enjoyed a good recent run of form with a trio of 1-0 wins.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without Jamie Day (back), Shane Blackett (shoulder), Tom Williams (knee) and Craig Morgan (toe). James Chester is set to make his home debut at the heart of the defence, while Lee Frecklington and Ben Wright could also make their first appearances at London Road. Craig Braham-Barrett's loan spell at Kettering Town has been completed and he is back and available for selection at Posh.
Yeovil boss Russell Slade will be forced to make changes to his winning starting line up for the League One game at third placed Peterborough. Defender Terrell Forbes and midfielder Danny Schofield are still to serve their one-match suspensions after the Glovers' last two scheduled games - at home to Northampton and away to Crewe - were postponed.
Both will miss out against Posh and Slade will also be without the services of 20-year-old striker Aidan Downes, who will complete a three-match ban. Fellow forward Luke Rodgers and midfielders Gary Roberts and Lee Peltier are all rated doubtful with ankle injuries.
ONE TO WATCH
Yeovil striker Gavin Tomlin (pictured) has been a substitute in recent weeks, but with injuries and suspensions affecting the line-up, the former Fisher Athletic front man has been amongst the goals of late and will need to be carefully marshalled by the Posh defence as he has decent pace.
MANAGER QUOTES
'I believe Yeovil are in a false position in the league table and it will most certainly be a difficult game for us. They play some good football and have enjoyed some good wins of late. They play an interesting shape in terms of their formation, but we are concentrating on ourselves and our game,' Ferguson said.
Yeovil boss Russell Slade has yet to speak to the media ahead of the game, but reports in Somerset were doing the rounds that he could leave the club prior to the clash at London Road. The local paper reports a bust-up between Slade and the Board of Directions and speculation was rife that he could leave Huish Park prior to the game with Posh.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Anyone wishing to help get the snow off the pitch and from the surrounding areas should report to London Road reception as soon as possible. The club is very grateful for any help at this time.
