Peterborough United have signed Welling United left-back Craig Braham-Barrett until the end of the 2009-2010 campaign for a fee of £10,000. The 20-year-old impressed in the reserve team defeat to Watford last week and he will provide cover for Tom Williams following injuries to Shane Blackett and Jamie Day.

Posh have beaten off competition from Championship side Nottingham Forest for the defender's services and Braham-Barrett will train with his new team-mates for the first time on Monday ahead of the League One clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday evening.

Darren Ferguson told theposh.com: 'Craig is a young lad who we have had a look at and he has plenty of pace and performed well for us in the reserves. With Jamie Day and Shane Blackett out, we needed cover in that position and he will provide that.'
