Peterborough United make the six-hour journey to Brunton Park for a Coca-Cola League One fixture against Carlisle United as Darren Ferguson's men try and make it four victories out of four in the league.

The players and management left London Road on Friday morning and will train at Blackburn Rovers before arriving in Cumbria in the evening. Carlisle go into the game on the back of five successive defeats but they put in a decent performance in the latest loss at Milton Keynes Dons before losing 3-1.

TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of Chris Westwood (calf), Dean Keates (knee), Sergio Torres (knee) and Jamie Day (back). Craig Morgan and Gabriel Zakuani are back after international duty, while Aaron Mclean and Shane Blackett are available after injury.

Carlisle's bid to get their season back on track has been hit by the loss of Michael Bridges and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, however. Bridges (tendonitis) and Bridge-Wilkinson (toe) are two of six key players who will miss Saturday's game against Peterborough - an injury list that also includes club captain Paul Thirlwell, Peter Murphy and Scott Dobie. They have added Tottenham goalkeeper Ben Alnwick to their squad.

Carlisle front man David Graham is a target man who has mobility as well as physical attributes. He has a good eye for goal and scored the only Carlisle goal in the 3-1 defeat at Milton Keynes Dons.

MANAGER QUOTES
'Carlisle is obviously another difficult game, even if they have lost the previous five league games. They will be a bit of a wounded animal and I am sure they will come out fighting. Carlisle was always a difficult place to go when I was a player and I am sure things are no different now,' Ferguson said.

Manager John Ward explains his reasons behind the signing of Ben Alwick and the loss of form of Ben Williams. 'Ben Williams has made a couple of mistakes which have cost us over the last few games and I felt that couldn't go on,' he said. 'His all-round game has actually been quite good but the mistakes have cost us goals and in turn that has cost us points.

'I retain the belief that Ben will be a very good goalkeeper and I'm standing by him long-term. But at the same time I felt that it was an opportunity to help him out by taking him out of the firing line for a few weeks. I think a breather will benefit him. He's not the only one of our players who is fighting for form at the moment but perhaps when you're a goalkeeper it gets highlighted that little bit more,' Ward said.
