Local band The Brays are aiming to break into the top 40 this week and Peterborough United are fully behind their bid, particularly with the band members keen Posh supporters!

The band popped down to London Road on Friday and they are due to play a live performance of the single 'Sin' in Queensgate on Saturday 13th September. The single is available for just 79p from Itunes and many other download sites, but you can download the song from the Brays website at www.the-brays.co.uk where you get three different bundles featuring nine tracks for under £2.50 and that counts for three chart sales along the way!

The song 'Sin' is based around the seven deadly sins, and started to get the attention of the local media when local model Kelly Bell agreed to star in the video after a cheeky email request, which then attracted holywood director Joby Stephens to the project.

The Brays said: 'We are so proud of the single and the video, and really hope the people of peterborough will get behind helping make this to be a success! We are really proud of the city we come from, this whole project has been with and from local people, we've even had local DJ's remix the single! We are hoping to use the momentum that exists to give other artists a chance to play to a new audience.

'Our single launch night on Thursday at Radius was sold out weeks in advance featuring John Quinn, Matt Zilch and Flick 66, so we decided to put on another night featuring different local artists. The second night, this Sunday (7th) sees us play with Shane Poole. Conor Owen, A Girl Called Kate and Harvey Steals band...almost feels like a mini festival! Hopefully it will open a few eyes to the thriving music scene that exists in the city.'

There are still tickets available for the Sunday gig, get them while you can by emailing thebrays@hotmail.co.uk, or turn up at Radius above the Solstice on Sunday at 7:30pm.
