Striker Rene Howe has agreed a season-long loan deal with Coca-Cola League Two side Morecambe, subject to a medical, and will link up with his new team-mates ahead of Saturday's pre-season friendly with Preston North End.

Howe spent much of last season on-loan at Rochdale, scoring nine goals as Keith Hill's side reached the play-off final. Morecambe have moved for Howe after selling Carl Baker to Stockport County.
