Peterborough United are in pre-season friendly action this evening as Darren Ferguson's men travel to Broadhall Way (7.45pm), the home of Blue Square Premier League side Stevenage Borough, with midfielder Paul Coutts hoping to impress.

The Scottish youngster started Saturday's 4-1 victory over a Liverpool XI at London Road and Ferguson has stated he will assess the midfield man in a more 'physical clash' before making a decision on his future.

Striker Liam Hatch is again expected to miss out due to illness, while Sergio Torres is still on the way back following a foot operation at the back end of last season. Russell Martin is not expected to travel after suffering a knock on his ankle, although the right-back is targeting a return against West Ham United a week from now.

Ferguson told theposh.com: 'We will be assessing Paul this week and we will see how he does against Stevenage. It will be a different test for him after Saturday's game against Liverpool and it will give us a good idea of what he can do. I will try and give as much of the squad a run-out as I can.'

Admission into the stadium is £15 for adults, £12 for concessions with under 11s admitted for £7 when accompanied by an adult.
