The players returned to pre-season training on Monday morning and were given the adidas training kit with their new squad number for the 2008-2009 Coca-Cola League One season.

There have not been too many changes with new signing Russell Martin one of only two alterations in the first 11 numbers. Martin takes the number two shirt while goalkeeper Joe Lewis is the new occupant of the number one jersey. The number 7 shirt is currently vacant following the departure of Adam Newton.

Liam Hatch has been given the number 14 shirt while Rene Howe is the occupant of shirt number 16. James McKeown will wear 13, Kieran Charnock will wear 19 and Tom Williams has the number 21 shirt.

Adam Smith, Shwan Jalal, Danny Crow, Josh Low, Mark Tyler and Daniel Blanchett have all been allocated higher squad numbers as they are all currently available for transfer.
