Peterborough United travel to Underhill this evening (7.45pm) to face a Barnet side buoyed by an impressive 4-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town at the weekend with Cliff Akurang scoring a brace of goals.
Posh will be hoping for a sixth successive victory after a narrow 1-0 home success over Bury on Saturday and another clean sheet will make it seven clean sheets out of the last eight matches.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of centre back Kieran Charnock but apart from the former Northwich Victoria defender, he has a fully fit squad to choose from. Manager Darren Ferguson has hinted that Micah Hyde may return to the centre of midfield.
Barnet are without the suspended Michael Leary but are not reporting any fresh injury worries so Sagi Burton is expected to line-up against his former club. Winger Kieron St Aimie remains a doubt after missing training all last week with the ankle injury, which forced him out of the win over the Shrews. St Aimie has participated in some light training and Fairclough will make a late decision as to whether he will include him in the 16.
ONE TO WATCH
Jason Puncheon (pictured) was named in 'FourFourTwo' magazine's top 50 Football League players and has been in fine form on the left-hand side of midfield. He started his career with Milton Keynes Dons and has been a revelation for the Bees.
MANAGER QUOTES
'We are aiming for six successive victories and the lads are obviously full of confidence at the minute, but Barnet will provide difficult opposition as they proved not so long ago in the fixture at London Road. They had an excellent victory over Shrewsbury at the weekend and that will lift them,' Ferguson said.
'There is no question we will have to be at our best, I believe they are the best team (Peterborough) in our league. I also believe that we are capable of beating anyone in this division,' Fairclough said.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A one-minute's silence will be observed following the sad passing of Carl Hoddle, brother of former Tottenham Hotspur boss Glenn. Carl died of a heart-attack aged just 40 at the weekend.
