Peterborough United have added another friendly to their schedule to allow injury victims Craig Mackail-Smith, Adam Smith and Daniel Blanchett to get minutes under their belt ahead of the league campaign.

Posh will travel to local non-league side Bedford Town on Tuesday 7th August (7.45pm) and Mackail-Smith is set to make his return from a groin injury in that fixture.

Rene Howe started his career with Bedford Town and is expected to feature in that game having missed out on a return to Kettering Town last week due to a waterlogged pitch.
