The London Road pitch has had work carried out on it since the conclusion of last season and the grass is coming through nicely ahead of the 2007-2008 campaign, which gets underway on Friday 13th July against Scottish double-winners Celtic.

The pitch was re-laid in May with £50,000 being spent on the maintenance of the surface and the grass is now receiving the tender care it needs from the ground staff. Sportsturf, who look after the pitches at Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers and Northampton Town (award winners for Pitch) are in charge of the pitch.
