Work is underway on improving the London Road pitch with the football club spending £50,000 to ensure the surface will aid next season's promotion push.

Sportsturf, who look after the pitches at Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers and Northampton Town (award winners for Pitch of the Year) will now be in charge of the surface at London Road.

Sportsturf will also be in charge of on-going maintenance and will be responsible for preparing the pitch ahead of match days at London Road.
