Strachan Back In Squad For Accrington Trip
Midfielder Gavin Strachan has been added to the Peterborough United squad for the trip to Accrington Stanley on Saturday (3pm), while youngster Danny Blanchett is also available after recovering from a groin strain.
Strachan (pictured) has missed the last few matches with a hamstring strain and will travel with the squad to the Fraser Eagle Stadium. Defender Shane Blackett also returns after completing a three-match ban following his sending-off against Milton Keynes Dons.
Guy Branston (calf) and Aaron Mclean (knee) are the only absentees and manager Darren Ferguson believes this weekend's double header of fixtures will show the strength in depth of his squad.
'I have told the players that this weekend everyone should be prepared to be involved because two games in three days will be a test. It is a squad game and I will think about making a few changes to keep the players fresh and on their toes for two massive matches.
'The players that have not been in the starting line-up have shown a great attitude in training. Danny Crow is chomping at the bit, he has performed well in training and shown a good attitude and if he gets his chance, I am sure he will take it,' Ferguson told theposh.com.
Accrington are without the services of striker David Brown who is suspended following his dismissal against Hereford United.
