Peterborough United ended their home league campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Blackpool who in turn strengthened their play-off hopes after a comfortable afternoon with Posh goalkeeper James McKeown excellent in between the sticks.
DJ Campbell had the first effort of the game, but he dragged his shot wide of the target after reading the bounce better than full-back Danny Andrew, making his first start for Posh.
Brett Ormerod fired wide of James McKeown's right-hand post on eight minutes after cutting inside from the left as Blackpool enjoyed some good early moments. The visitors opened the scoring on 11 minutes as DJ CAMPBELL fired home from close range after James McKeown had unbelievably denied saved his initial over-head kick.
McKeown made a stunning save to stop Ian Evatt from doubling the lead with a powerful header from a corner and then Andrew did well to stop Campbell from bundling the rebound over the line.
Liam Dickinson saw a header hacked away from danger by Stephen Crainey as Posh showed glimpses of quality in the final third. A snap shot from Gary Taylor-Fletcher was plucked from the air by McKeown on 23 minutes.
The lively Dickinson fired wide of the target moments later after a good pass from Josh Simpson picked him out 20-yards from goal. Lee was afforded a free header at the back post from a Rowe corner on the half hour mark, but goalkeeper Gilks made a comfortable claim.
The impressive McKeown made a superb save to deny Campbell after Bennett was caught out trying to flick the ball clear allowing Taylor-Fletcher to run clear and round the goalkeeper, although his touch to took him wide before he squared the ball to the onrushing striker.

Keith Southern fired over moments after the interval from the edge of the area as the Seasiders, backed by their noisy contingent behind the goal, went in search of a second goal. McKeown was then on hand to deny Evatt's tame curler.
On 52 minutes, determination from Craig Mackail-Smith saw him power past two defenders but his toe-poked effort was parried by Gilks into the path of Green, his shot was blocked and then Koranteng fired wide with his left-foot from close-range.
McKeown denied Ormerod powerful volley on 64 minutes after Adam had kept the ball alive with a neat back flick.
An error from Andrew alllowed Campbell to race clear on 75 minutes, but again McKeown was at his best to deny him and then somehow Bannan managed to roll the ball behind Campbell as the Seasiders wasted the rebound.
McKeown was having the game of his life between the sticks and he was superb again to deny Bannan as he raced clear in the left channel. Dickinson was cautioned for dissent moments later.
Substitute Ben Wright struck straight at goalkeeper Gilks from 12 yards after a good knock down by Ryan Bennett. Danny Mills replaced Dickinson for the final five minutes of the action at London Road.
In the dying moments, Little lashed a shot wide of the target as Posh pushed for a late equaliser.
