On the back of two highly successful seasons for the Peterborough United girl's squads, Posh women and girls have now secured funding to enhance their squads, development centre, and advanced centres for next season and will be holding an open trial day on Saturday 12th July 2008.

We will be looking to bolster our already highly successful squads in the U10/U11, U12's, U14s and U16s squads and secure players for all other age groups.

Peterborough United (POSH) girls are looking for players to feed into their Regional Football Development Squad/Peterborough United Women's Squad in the future or to simply enjoy the camaraderie of girls football offering fun, inclusion, the opportunity to keep fit and develop your football skills to the best of your ability:

Advanced centre Squads - A step towards centre of excellence football
You will have coaching, development and mentoring as if you were playing for a professional centre of excellence club but you will still play week to week with your friends at your own personal local club. You will play six-eight 'professional' matches per season against other professional advanced centre/centre of excellence clubs.

We currently have links with Northampton Town, Norwich City, Cambridge United, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Millwall amongst others. A perfect opportunity to develop your footballing standard and still play at your local club.

Open age group - Regional Football Development Squad
This squad will run in partnership with Huntingdon Regional College, Training-ground Ltd & the Regional Female County squad. The Regional Football Development Squad is intended for Female footballers between the ages of 16-21 from the UK and overseas. As a player of the football development centre you will experience life as a professional through full time training, competitive fixtures, visits to and from professional clubs and guidance from qualified coaching staff from Training-Ground Limited, HRC & Peterborough United. International scouts will attend matches regularly in the college league in season 08/09 which will provide players the opportunity to elevate themselves onto the International stage.

If female players successfully complete the course they will also secure a BTEC Diploma in Sport & Leisure, secure their FA level 1&2 coaching badges. Compete in trial dates to secure the possibility of obtaining a scholarship in the US.

The centre boasts top class facilities and excellent coaching:
3 full size pitches.
3x 6 a side pitches.
Changing & shower facilities.
Sports hall & gymnasium.

Coaches Profiles
All male & female coaches are FA, UEFA 'A' and 'B' Licensed coaches . They are also FA trained coach tutors with a wealth of professional football playing careers behind them at Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers & Cambridge United. The male coaches also Scout professionally in the male game for Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Wolverhampton Wanderers as well as other leading professional clubs. They have completed the first Football Association Futsal course.

The female coaches having had a wealth of playing experience throughout the UK, Europe and at International level they offer terrific knowledge, coaching, mentoring and insight into the female game in the UK.

All trials will be ran by Independent professional scouts and FA Women & Girls Development Managers. In attendance at the trials to offer insight, advice, knowledge and the benefit of their experience will be:

Karen Hills - Womens FA cup winner with Charlton Athletic & current academy coach @ Tottenham Hotspurs.

Kay Costerton - UEFA 'A' licensed coach (one of 12 in the UK). Millwall Ladies Youth Director. England U15's head coach.

Trial Times
U10/U11 - 10am - 11pm.
U12 - 11.15pm - 12.15pm.
U14 - 12.30pm - 1.30pm.
U16 - 1.45pm - 2.45pm.
16+ Open age group 3pm - 4pm.
