Peterborough United goalkeeper Joe Lewis and Director of Football Barry Fry joined stars from the world of sport at Dame Norma Major's charity cricket match in Alconbury on Friday, which was raising funds for MENCAP.

Lewis struck seven not-out for the Bunbury's before taking his turn to bowl as the match was played out in glorious sunshine. Former Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear, ex-England batsman Graeme Hick, Essex star Graham Napier and former Prime Minister John Major were among the participants. Legendary Australian bowler Jeff Thomson was also present.

Napier struck a quick-fire 50 before he was caught, but during his spell at the crease he hit two sixes and came close to finding the windscreen of a Mercedes parked behind the sight screen. Sky Sports News and BBC Look East were both present and conducted interviews with both Fry and Lewis, who only flew into the country on Tuesday after he was on international duty with the England under 21s.

The Bunbury's are looked after by David English, who has helped to raise millions of pounds over the last 20 years for charity. Among the players to have represented the Bunbury's down the years include Wasim Akram, Courtney Walsh, Rory Bremner and David Essex.
