Players Meet Fans At Tesco Store

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson, his assistant Kevin Russell and first team stars George Boyd, Aaron Mclean, Craig Mackail-Smith, Sergio Torres and Russell Martin were on hand to officially open the new extension to the Tesco store in Market Deeping.

Prior to the opening on Monday, the players and management signed hundreds of autographs and posed for pictures as the people of Market Deeping came out in force to see their favourite football team.

The club ensured that each person that entered the store received information about upcoming Football in the Community courses, Junior Posh and commercial activities at London Road. Fixture cards were also issued.

Tesco supply water for the squad at London Road and manager Darren Ferguson was delighted to be able to take some of his stars to the store. 'It was great to be invited to open the extension of the Tesco store and the amount of people that turned up was incredible.'
