Peterborough United Centre of Excellence held open trials last weekend for their Stamford Development Centre. The trial took place at Copthill Independent School on Sunday and was a great success with over 70 children attending.

Of the 70 children that attended, three were offered six week trials in the centre of excellence and over 30 were offered a place in the Development Centre. As the ambition here at Peterborough United has grown, so have those of the youth department.

Over the coming seasons our ultimate goal is to see locally produced players that can progress into the first team and we will be launching a recruitment drive to ensure over the coming seasons that this is the case.

We would like to thank all the players who attended the trial at Copthill for their hard work throughout the day.
